Welcome!

Our motto states: “We are a church in the heart of the community with the community at heart.” As a community church, we are called to minister to the whole community. In a world of alienation and brokenness, God calls us to affirm every human being. Whoever you are red, yellow, black, white, brown, women, men, heterosexual, gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, single, married, divorced, widowed, rich, poor, differently abled, homebound, employed, or unemployed.

We are all beloved children of God! We are challenged by the Gospel to be agents of love and healing within our society. We affirm with the apostle Paul that nothing can separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. We seek to welcome all people regardless of sexuality, gender identity, family status, race, ethnicity, country of origin, economic status, or any other arbitrary human division.

As followers of Jesus, the people of Saint Mark United Methodist Church are dedicated to being a community of Christ, sharing God’s love, hope, joy, and compassion.
